DC N5 - COOKED PU ER.
From our socially secluded bunker, while preparing online orders, we take a few minutes to brew this young, cooked PuEr that we recently received from Lu Zhi Ming.
Crafted in DC Tea’s newest facility in Menghai, you can quickly recognize the signature “thickness” of Bulang Shan tea leaves. The first brew is very dark; there are hints of promise with dry date notes on the nose, but the steep feels ‘young’ - heavily reminiscent of rainforest soil and tree bark. The second brew is extracted in 8 seconds, and the result is much sweeter. Allowing the brew to rest a few seconds on the palate, it leaves a smooth, pleasant aftertaste; the experience, however, is still in its definition process.
30 minutes later, having worked a bit and enjoyed a few steeps, we are now enjoying the 9th. The colour is now reminiscent of a light roast, drip coffee. The thick fermentation notes are giving way to lighter aromas of wood and burnt sugar.
From the O5 team to you all, happy tea drinking!
