Oolong

Oolong tea, more properly transliterated as wūlóngchá, (烏龍茶 in traditional characters, 乌龙茶 in simplified), means ‘Black Dragon Tea.' Beyond the name, this tea category packs perhaps the most diverse collection of aromas. Oolong tea is defined as partially oxidized tea; there are no limits in terms of origins, cultivars, or handcrafting techniques; some oolongs are “almost green” (e.g. 10% oxidized) and some are pretty close to “black" (90% oxidized).
